Design Engineer

nVent designs and manufactures electrical connection and protection products and solutions. The Design Engineer will develop and verify custom product designs, drawings, bills of materials and manufacturing instructions for assigned orders.

• Plan and execute designs for assigned special-product projects
• Create and verify technical drawings, bills of materials and assembly instructions
• Review designs for quality and manufacturing feasibility
• Coordinate engineering order activities and customer requirement checks
• Support sales and RFQ teams with technical clarifications and cost estimates
• Create items and manage long-lead-time items in SAP
