About the role
The Product Highway is an AI-native product strategy and engineering firm that builds products for clients across multiple industries. You will set backend architecture and standards, mentor engineers, lead client technical discussions, and build and operate production systems.
What you'll do
- Own backend architecture, including APIs, data models, services, queues, and scaling
- Define backend engineering standards and AI-assisted development workflows
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and architecture feedback
- Lead client-facing technical discovery and translate requirements into architecture plans
- Build and operate production backend systems and integrations
- Debug production issues and make necessary cross-stack fixes
