About the role
PhonePe builds digital platforms for payments, digital distribution and financial services. The Legal Counsel will negotiate commercial agreements, advise business teams on legal risks, and maintain contract templates and compliance processes.
What you'll do
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial, technology, SaaS and licensing agreements
- Advise cross-functional teams on commercial rights, liabilities and risk mitigation
- Ensure contracts comply with Indian laws and relevant regulatory requirements
- Update contract templates, legal SOPs, trackers and repositories
- Deliver internal training on legal and compliance policies
- Contribute to contract lifecycle management automation
