About the role
Applied Materials develops equipment and engineering solutions for semiconductor chips and advanced displays. You will lead mechanical architecture, design, integration, and validation for precision semiconductor patterning equipment.
What you'll do
- Define system architecture, interfaces, performance targets, and verification strategies
- Design precision motion systems, substrate handling modules, process assemblies, and tooling
- Perform thermal, structural, flow, tolerance, and FEA-based analyses
- Lead system characterization, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, service, and supplier teams
