About the role
3M develops products and solutions across manufacturing and supply chains. The Packaging Engineer will lead packaging cost optimization, design and validate packaging solutions, and address packaging quality and transportation issues.
What you'll do
- Lead VAVE initiatives to identify packaging cost savings
- Optimize unitization, pallet use, warehouse cube efficiency, and transportation
- Design and validate packaging materials, structures, and specifications
- Investigate packaging quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Evaluate sustainable packaging materials and technologies
- Manage engineering projects and support global packaging standardization
