About the role
Trane Technologies develops climate solutions for buildings, homes and transportation. This role leads cost modeling, product cost optimization and value engineering across product development and improvement programs.
What you'll do
- Lead cost engineering for new and existing product projects
- Develop cost models, should-cost estimates and cost breakdowns
- Analyze designs, manufacturing processes and supplier quotations
- Identify and implement cost reduction and design-to-value opportunities
- Support make-versus-buy analysis and supplier benchmarking
- Track savings projects and share cost recommendations with leaders
