About the role
Coupang operates a global commerce business and is building AI physical infrastructure through Coupang Intelligent Cloud. The director will lead backend, networking and infrastructure teams developing orchestration, fleet automation and storage systems for AI clusters.
What you'll do
- Lead development of SDN orchestration and GPU networking automation
- Oversee backend services for GPU health, diagnostics and fleet lifecycle
- Direct backend systems for high-performance data delivery and AI object storage
- Set architecture standards for resilient, multi-region AI infrastructure
- Champion infrastructure automation using Python, Ansible and Terraform
- Lead engineering teams and establish 24/7 operational standards
