About the role
Wabtec provides equipment, systems, digital solutions, and services for rail, mining, and industrial markets. The Mechanical Drives Engineer will lead design, analysis, and validation of mechanical structures for locomotive and off-highway vehicle applications.
What you'll do
- Lead concept development, detailed design, and validation of mechanical structures
- Conduct fatigue evaluations and predict component life
- Prepare assembly instructions and lead design reviews
- Support sourcing initiatives, vendor qualification, and validation testing
- Resolve factory build issues and verify build quality
- Perform root cause analysis and service productivity projects
