• Lead backend engineering initiatives and technical projects
• Own architecture and design of large-scale distributed systems
• Create and review high-level and low-level design documents
• Mentor engineers and establish backend engineering standards
• Lead reliability, performance, incident response, and production readiness
• Drive roadmap planning, hiring, and technical adoption
