About the role
Applied Materials develops materials science and engineering solutions and equipment for semiconductor chips and advanced displays. This role manages excess materials, supplier rework, inventory decisions, and related purchase order actions across product groups.
What you'll do
- Forecast engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers
- Coordinate backup stock decisions with buyers and materials planners
- Resolve supplier quality issues with quality and engineering teams
- Analyze demand and transfer purchase orders between plants in SAP
- Assess and coordinate rework or sell-back of excess materials
- Align with part designers on scrapping unusable excess materials
