About the role
Acceldata develops data observability products and an Open Data Platform for enterprise workloads. The Principal Engineer will shape platform architecture and strategy, lead complex distributed-systems initiatives, and guide open-source contributions across engineering.
What you'll do
- Define long-term technical strategy and architecture for the Open Data Platform
- Design high-impact systems and establish scalable architectural principles
- Lead research and development on data platform technologies
- Drive Apache project contributions and represent Acceldata in the open-source community
- Mentor senior engineers and resolve complex distributed-systems problems
- Translate strategic customer needs into platform capabilities
