About the role
Fivetran and dbt Labs provide data movement and transformation infrastructure, including tools that help teams create trusted business metrics. You will develop and maintain MetricFlow, optimize query execution, and steward its open-source project.
What you'll do
- Build MetricFlow features for metric definitions, query compilation, modeling, and SQL generation
- Review community contributions, triage issues, and manage open-source releases
- Integrate MetricFlow with dbt Cloud, dbt Core, and the Semantic Layer service
- Improve metric query performance, reliability, and observability
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance
