About the role
Harness provides an AI-native software delivery platform with security and governance capabilities. The Director of Engineering will lead WAAP strategy, architecture, execution, and team development while expanding AI security capabilities.
What you'll do
- Define strategy for runtime API protection, bot defense, and AI security
- Set the roadmap for AI discovery, red-teaming, and AI firewall capabilities
- Lead architecture across API discovery and runtime traffic analysis
- Hire, develop, and retain engineers and leaders
- Partner with enterprise customers on escalations, roadmaps, and adoption
- Own reliability, incident response, and production health
