About the role
DigitalOcean builds cloud infrastructure and developer products that help customers build and operate applications. You will lead backend engineers developing gRPC APIs and observability infrastructure while setting priorities, coaching the team, and improving service delivery.
What you'll do
- Lead a team of backend engineers building gRPC APIs and observability infrastructure
- Set team priorities, methods, and objectives and key results
- Review system architecture and guide feature delivery and defect resolution
- Coach engineers through feedback, performance assessment, and career development
- Gather customer feedback and use it to inform product features
- Lead incident follow-up and drive service improvements
