About the role
Wabtec provides equipment, systems and services for rail transportation and related industries. The engineer will plan and conduct mechanical component and subsystem tests in laboratories and in the field.
What you'll do
- Translate engineering requirements into test requirements and laboratory specifications
- Design test setups and fixtures for product validation
- Plan and execute laboratory and field tests
- Process test data, draw conclusions and document results
- Coordinate test equipment calibration, dispatch and return
- Estimate test duration and coordinate customer test-service closure
