About the role
General Motors manufactures vehicles and advances electric vehicle production. The Industrial Engineer will lead manufacturing process improvements, support launches and plant optimization, and guide engineering tools and teams.
What you'll do
- Lead process planning, line balancing, time studies and shop-floor improvements
- Support new product launches, plant expansions and assembly line setup
- Create and standardize industrial engineering documents and manufacturing layouts
- Analyze data and communicate recommendations across engineering and manufacturing teams
- Lead productivity, cost-reduction, automation and waste-reduction initiatives
- Coach engineers and ensure compliance with standards and site policies
