About the role
General Motors applies digital manufacturing technologies to automotive paint production and engineering. This engineer will develop and deploy AI, vision, XR, and digital twin solutions while supporting paint process improvement and facility launches.
What you'll do
- Deploy digital manufacturing and smart factory solutions for paint operations
- Develop digital twins and connect engineering and shop-floor systems
- Design vision systems for paint quality inspection
- Automate CAD and PLM workflows using APIs and engineering tools
- Support facility execution, virtual commissioning, and launch activities
- Analyze paint warranty issues and recommend process improvements
