Principal AI Engineer Optimisation Intelligence and Agent Orchestration

Maersk applies AI and optimisation to ocean operations, network design, and operational decision-making. The Principal AI Engineer will guide optimisation methods and agentic systems for planning, execution, and decision support.

• Set technical direction for AI-augmented optimisation and agentic decision systems
• Guide problem formulation, heuristics, and AI-assisted search for planning decisions
• Define interfaces between AI systems, solvers, optimisation services, and workflows
• Lead experimentation to validate models and improve performance and scalability
• Guide agentic AI for orchestration, exception handling, and human-in-the-loop decisions
• Shape the roadmap for pilots and scalable optimisation capabilities
