About the role
Wells Fargo provides financial services and is advancing AI-enabled software engineering across its technology organization. The Principal Engineer will define architecture and strategy, build agentic SDLC capabilities, and guide enterprise adoption and governance.
What you'll do
- Define strategy and architecture for generative AI across the software development lifecycle
- Build AI agents for software planning, development, testing, and release workflows
- Establish reusable frameworks, standards, governance models, and reference architectures
- Integrate AI capabilities with developer portals, CI/CD platforms, IDEs, and release pipelines
- Develop observability and adoption strategies for AI-enabled engineering solutions
- Mentor senior engineers and advise technology leadership on AI-native engineering
