About the role
Asteria Aerospace develops drone hardware, software and services that deliver aerial intelligence across several industries. The RF Engineer will design, integrate, test and optimize communication systems for existing and new unmanned aerial platforms.
What you'll do
- Calculate RF link budgets and assess losses and margins
- Evaluate and shortlist radios, antennas, cables, connectors and other RF components
- Optimize RF architecture, antenna placement and interconnects for UAV platforms
- Conduct RF characterization, lab measurements and field performance testing
- Analyze RF performance data and troubleshoot communication degradation
- Define RF qualification test plans and recommend platform improvements
