About the role
Wabtec provides equipment, systems, digital solutions and services for rail, transit, mining, marine and industrial sectors. This engineer leads locomotive reliability investigations, corrective solutions and validation to improve fleet availability and reduce lifecycle costs.
What you'll do
- Investigate locomotive field reliability issues and identify root causes
- Develop and implement short- and long-term solutions for field failures
- Lead technical investigations across mechanical, electrical and control systems
- Create implementation plans and validate supply, material use and customer acceptance
- Track reliability issues through solution development, deployment and effectiveness validation
