About the role
AstraZeneca develops medicines across therapeutic areas and supports their development through clinical research and regulatory pathways. The Statistical Science Director will lead statistical strategy, study design and evidence interpretation while guiding statisticians and informing governance decisions.
What you'll do
- Lead statistical strategy across product development plans and regulatory pathways
- Own statistical content for study designs, protocols, analysis plans and submissions
- Quantify benefit, risk, value and uncertainty to support development decisions
- Guide and mentor internal and external statisticians
- Partner with CROs and represent statistical science with health authorities
- Advance statistical methods, including adaptive and Bayesian approaches
