About the role
Nordson manufactures products supported by a supply chain for materials and services. The Supply Chain Engineer sources suppliers, manages purchasing and inventory, negotiates contracts, and improves costs and supply for assigned commodities.
What you'll do
- Identify and evaluate suppliers against price, quality, timing, and reliability standards
- Purchase materials and manage inventory for assigned commodities
- Source components and assemblies using engineering drawings and specifications
- Manage supplier relationships and resolve production supply issues
- Negotiate long-term supply contracts and implement cost savings
- Support R&D on new product introduction projects
