About the role
Fluence delivers energy storage and optimization software and services for renewable energy and grid systems. The specialist will develop sourcing strategies, manage component risks, and drive cost reduction across new and mass-production products.
What you'll do
- Analyze bills of materials for long-lead-time components during product design
- Identify and manage single-source and sole-source components
- Maintain approved component and vendor lists with category managers and engineering
- Assess risk buys and identify second sources for components
- Drive sourcing strategies and design-to-cost decisions for new products
- Coordinate validation and implementation of cost-reduction opportunities
