About the role
athenahealth provides healthcare IT solutions and services to healthcare providers. You will lead the design, development, and production operation of AI agents and services for its patient messaging platform.
What you'll do
- Design and develop the Messaging 3.0 AI platform
- Build AI agents with orchestration, tools, evaluation, guardrails, and observability
- Develop scalable services using Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and AWS
- Implement durable workflows for long-running messaging processes
- Take the Notification and Cadence Outreach AI Agents to production
- Build next-best-action intelligence and improve production reliability
