About the role
Collins Aerospace develops aerospace and defense products, including aircraft interiors and landing systems. This engineer assesses material compliance, interprets chemical regulations, and coordinates material validation and mitigation for products.
What you'll do
- Assess material-of-concern data for parts, assemblies, materials, and finishes
- Respond to customer chemical regulation queries with supporting documentation
- Coordinate material selection and validation for new designs
- Identify regulatory risks and develop mitigation plans
- Validate alternative materials against global chemical regulations
