About the role
Cisco's Material Planning team plans component needs across high-value commodity groups and coordinates with supply chain partners. This person will translate demand and supply plans into component requirements, manage buffers, and assess supply risks and shortages.
What you'll do
- Translate product demand and supply plans into time-phased component requirements
- Identify component risks using lead times, supplier commitments, and product transitions
- Own safety stock and buffer strategy for the assigned commodity
- Provide planning inputs and options during supply constraints
- Partner with planning, supplier management, and manufacturing teams
