About the role
Airbound is developing aircraft for lower-cost drone delivery. You will design, prototype, analyze, and test mechanical aircraft assemblies through production.
What you'll do
- Design mechanical aircraft systems and assemblies from concept through production
- Build and test prototypes and own mechanical systems end to end
- Run load calculations, tolerance stacks, basic FEA, and weight budgets
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to select processes for parts
- Work with vendors and internal teams to turn requirements into mechanical designs
