About the role
KaleidEO develops Earth Observation payloads and solutions across the satellite imaging value chain. The Optical Design Engineer will define and analyze payload optics and support their manufacturing, integration, testing, and verification.
What you'll do
- Define optical payload requirements from mission objectives
- Design and analyze optical systems from concept through verification
- Support opto-mechanical test equipment and manufacturing drawings
- Document requirements, design reports, alignment, and testing needs
- Review optical designs and balance technical and program constraints
- Collaborate with project teams, partners, and vendors on development and testing
