About the role
Unifize provides an eQMS SaaS platform that helps life science and manufacturing companies manage regulated processes and communication. You will shape backend architecture and engineering standards, lead major technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and continue shipping code.
What you'll do
- Set backend architectural direction, API contracts, service boundaries, and data architecture
- Author engineering standards for design, code review, testing, deployment, and post-mortems
- Lead multi-quarter architectural initiatives across services and teams through production
- Drive backend modernization, technical debt management, and incident prevention
- Mentor backend engineers and contribute to senior engineering hiring
- Ship code and partner with executives on platform strategy and technical narratives
