About the role
Hitachi Energy develops technologies for power systems and sustainable energy. This scientist will research protection algorithms, validate them through simulation and lab testing, and share findings through publications, patents and reports.
What you'll do
- Lead research projects in power system protection and related fields
- Test research hypotheses using simulations, lab prototypes and hardware-in-the-loop
- Identify technology gaps and address customer and business needs
- Collaborate with internal teams, universities, startups and vendors
- Publish research results and prepare patent applications and technical reports
