About the role
Collins Aerospace develops aerospace and defense products, including nacelle systems. You will analyze the structural integrity of aircraft components and assemblies and support engineering reviews and project delivery.
What you'll do
- Perform structural analyses of aircraft components and assemblies
- Calculate loads and assess static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance, and vibration
- Evaluate component integrity using hand calculations and finite element methods
- Prepare or revise stress reports and strength-check documentation
- Recommend solutions based on stress analysis results
- Support design reviews and track assigned project schedule and cost
