About the role
SonicWall provides network and endpoint security products, services, and threat response for businesses and IT teams. This engineer will maintain and extend the embedded C content filtering client in SonicOS firewall firmware.
What you'll do
- Maintain and extend the CFS client across control and data planes
- Implement the binary UDP protocol with CFS rating servers
- Develop IPv4 and IPv6 support across code paths
- Maintain safe firmware upgrade and migration paths
- Improve inter-blade cache synchronization reliability
- Coordinate protocol changes with server-side teams
