About the role
Fivetran and dbt Labs build data infrastructure for moving and transforming organizational data. You will develop connectivity and adapter systems for dbt Fusion and contribute to their interfaces, testing, performance, and open-source ecosystem.
What you'll do
- Build Rust-first connectivity layers, execution APIs, and adapter scaffolding
- Evolve adapter interfaces with compiler, semantic layer, and runtime teams
- Contribute to Arrow, ADBC, and related open-source specifications or implementations
- Own adapter CI, testing, profiling, error reporting, and release readiness
- Debug interoperability and performance issues across drivers, engines, and compute domains
- Review code, write RFCs, and mentor engineers on systems practices
