About the role
3M develops products across multiple industries and manages a global product hierarchy. The Product Taxonomist will design and govern taxonomy, metadata, and related data-management processes.
What you'll do
- Design and manage the global product taxonomy, attribution schema, and metadata
- Deliver schema definition projects and support related taxonomies and hierarchies
- Gather requirements from divisional marketers and application engineers
- Implement process changes and support governance policies
- Identify opportunities to optimize data management and business-user processes
- Provide guidance and project support to teams using product hierarchies
