About the role
Vegapay builds configurable fintech infrastructure for banks, NBFCs, and enterprises to launch and manage credit and payment programs. The Legal Counsel will handle commercial, regulatory, corporate, and product legal matters while establishing the in-house legal function.
What you'll do
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements
- Advise teams on fintech regulations, privacy requirements, and compliance
- Support fundraising, due diligence, shareholder documentation, and board matters
- Identify legal risks in products, partnerships, and business initiatives
- Manage legal notices, disputes, vendor issues, and contractual escalations
- Establish legal processes, documentation standards, and contract workflows
