About the role
Collins Aerospace develops aerospace and defense technologies, and its Applied Research & Technology organization tests AI solutions for engineering problems. You will lead engineers, manage a portfolio of AI proof-of-concepts, and guide successful projects toward deployment or handover.
What you'll do
- Lead and develop a 15–20-person engineering team
- Qualify business problems and define testable proof-of-concept success criteria
- Manage time-boxed AI proof-of-concepts and evaluate their results
- Recommend production transitions and prepare handover materials
- Set engineering standards and oversee AI assurance practices
- Report portfolio status, spending, and benefits to leadership
