About the role
GlobalFoundries provides semiconductor design, development and fabrication services to technology companies. The MCU Architect will define custom microcontroller silicon architecture and guide its design, integration, validation and bring-up.
What you'll do
- Define MCU silicon architecture and technical specifications from concept through tape-out
- Analyze trade-offs across performance, power, area, cost, safety and security
- Specify compute, memory, DMA, interrupt, debug and power architectures
- Coordinate hardware-software interfaces, boot flows and bring-up strategy
- Guide integration, architecture validation, silicon bring-up and post-silicon debug
