Principal Network Security Engineer

Altera’s Information Security organization protects its global infrastructure and data through security engineering, architecture, and operations. This principal individual contributor will design network security architecture, guide implementation, and strengthen detection and response across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

• Define network security strategy, architecture, and reusable standards
• Design secure network patterns across data center, cloud, campus, and hybrid environments
• Guide firewall policy management, hardening, and exception governance
• Improve network telemetry, detection coverage, and incident response
• Assess architecture risks and provide audit evidence and remediation guidance
• Mentor engineers and advise cross-functional teams on security designs
