About the role
Disney's central Database Systems Engineering team supports enterprise data services and platforms across business segments and global development teams. The Senior Database Reliability Engineer will manage, optimize, and automate SQL Server platforms while improving their reliability, security, and scalability.
What you'll do
- Architect and optimize enterprise SQL Server platforms across on-premise and cloud environments
- Lead database performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recovery
- Plan and monitor database backup, recovery, and capacity
- Automate provisioning, scaling, backups, and routine operations
- Troubleshoot complex database issues and implement solutions
- Integrate database changes into CI/CD pipelines and monitoring
