About the role
Cisco Networking develops switching, routing, wireless, and cloud-managed networking solutions. This engineer will develop switching firmware and system software, own features, and troubleshoot networking and device issues.
What you'll do
- Design and develop firmware and system software for switching products
- Own networking features from design through delivery
- Write C/C++ code and unit tests
- Debug software bring-up issues, regressions, crashes, and performance problems
- Review designs, test plans, and validation strategies with partner teams
- Mentor engineers and contribute to design and code reviews
