About the role
NXP Semiconductors develops Ethernet hardware and software solutions for data center and edge networking. The engineer will characterize system performance and optimize Ethernet datapaths across hardware, firmware, drivers and software.
What you'll do
- Define and execute performance validation strategies for Ethernet subsystems
- Measure throughput, packet rates, latency, jitter and resource utilization
- Analyze packet-processing pipelines and identify performance bottlenecks
- Evaluate MAC, PHY, switch, NIC and packet-processing hardware
- Characterize performance on pre-silicon and post-silicon platforms
