About the role
WEX builds enterprise data infrastructure and platforms for its organization. This engineer will architect and build scalable data platform systems, governance capabilities, and developer frameworks.
What you'll do
- Define the technical roadmap for the data lakehouse
- Build internal SDKs, CLI tools, and orchestration frameworks
- Prototype and benchmark data platform technologies
- Automate data lineage, PII masking, and access controls
- Lead architecture reviews and resolve complex system issues
- Mentor engineers and influence development practices
