About the role
WEX builds a payments platform that processes millions of transactions and supports high-availability services. The manager will lead and develop engineers while providing hands-on technical direction and overseeing reliable platform delivery and operations.
What you'll do
- Lead engineers designing, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining the payments platform
- Mentor engineers through regular one-to-ones, feedback and stretch opportunities
- Guide design decisions, code reviews and architectural evolution
- Partner with Product to translate business requirements into scalable solutions
- Remove delivery obstacles, reduce technical debt and streamline processes
- Lead incident management and promote resilient service operations
