About the role
Cisco's Routing Platform Software team builds SD-WAN and edge routing platforms for secure enterprise connectivity. You will develop forwarding and platform software, integrate hardware, and optimize networking features and performance.
What you'll do
- Integrate new platforms, develop low-level drivers, and bring up network interface modules
- Design and maintain ROMMON and bootloader software
- Develop and optimize high-performance forwarding plane software
- Implement and tune Layer 2 networking protocols and features
- Debug performance bottlenecks across kernel and hardware-abstraction layers
