About the role
Cisco develops networking and IT products, including SD-WAN and edge routing platforms for enterprise connectivity. You will build and optimize routing platform software, drivers, firmware, and forwarding features across hardware and software layers.
What you'll do
- Integrate hardware platforms, develop low-level drivers, and integrate Network Interface Modules
- Design and maintain ROMMON and bootloader software
- Develop and tune high-performance forwarding plane software
- Implement and optimize Layer 2 networking features
- Debug performance bottlenecks across kernel and hardware-abstraction layers
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve development workflows
