About the role
Emergent builds autonomous coding agents that generate, test, and deploy production applications from plain-language instructions. You will architect and build large-scale backend and agent infrastructure, improve reliability, and guide technical direction.
What you'll do
- Architect infrastructure for autonomous agents to plan, execute, and recover
- Build backend systems for globally distributed workloads at scale
- Develop validation, observability, debugging, and fault-tolerance approaches
- Set architectural standards across infrastructure and agent runtime systems
- Mentor senior engineers and influence engineering culture
