Staff Engineer CPU IP Design Engineer

GlobalFoundries provides semiconductor foundry services and offers RISC-V CPU products through its MIPS team. This engineer will lead CPU RTL and microarchitecture design, including vector and matrix processing features, while addressing performance, power and area goals.

• Drive microarchitecture and design of critical CPU blocks
• Design RISC-V vector CPU cores and custom extensions
• Develop an AI-enabled matrix engine for the vector CPU
• Refine RTL to meet power, performance, area and timing goals
• Support functional verification strategy and RTL performance validation
• Partner with engineers on physical design timing, area and reliability
