About the role

Wabtec provides equipment, systems, and digital solutions for freight and transit rail, as well as mining, marine, and industrial markets. This engineer will develop, integrate, and validate locomotive control HIL simulations, models, and automated test environments.

What you'll do

Lead development and validation of HIL simulation solutions for control systems
Develop physics-based plant models using MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, and Stateflow
Maintain MIL/SIL workflows, test harnesses, and automated verification environments
Generate real-time code and support deployment on HIL platforms
Automate testing and data analysis with MATLAB and Python scripts
Troubleshoot real-time tests and manage simulation assets using Git/GitLab
