About the role
Wabtec develops equipment, systems and digital solutions for rail transportation and related industries. This engineer develops and validates traction and auxiliary control systems for diesel-electric, battery-electric and hybrid locomotives.
What you'll do
- Develop subsystem requirements and locomotive control functions
- Integrate control modules with electrical hardware and locomotive subsystems
- Validate designs using simulations, hardware-in-the-loop and locomotive testing
- Investigate control-system defects and resolve reliability issues
- Document engineering work and participate in technical reviews
